Esco
is committed to the protection and conservation of the environment
in our business activities. We truly believe in our policy of
"eco-friendly" and shall

Develop
an environment management system to monitor, control and
review the various aspects and evaluate the impact of the
company operations to the environment

Establish
environmental objectives, set targets and programmes to enchance
continual improvements in enviroment protection, conservation
and pollution prevention

Review
periodically the environment performance against the objectives
and targets

Comply
with the environmental legislations and regulations and other
requirements that related to the company operations and social
responsibilities

Reduce
energy consumption, and resources usage by recycling and
reprocessing

Train
and educate all employees to ensure that they have the knowledge
to implement and maintain the environmental management system
-
Ensure
all employees know the environmental policy and activities
of the company. In addition, this policy shall be make available
to the public through the public relation activities

Environmental Requirement for Suppliers and Contractors
Esco Micro Pte. Ltd. strives as a long-term commitment
to protect the environment by reducing the burden on air, water and
land resources. Suppliers and contractors in providing products or
services to Esco, or when conducting activities at Esco is required
to ensure compliance of the following:
General:

Ensure
that its workers comply with the relevant sections of this
environmental requirement when performing any work at Esco,
where applicable

Respon
to Esco's environmental enquiry, questionnaire, or audit where
appropriate
-
During
an emergency, notify the Esco sponsor and follow instructions
given by the sponsor
Regulations,
Code of Practices & Standards:
Comply
with, and advise Esco on the implications where appropriate, with respect
to all relevant local environmental regulations, code of practices
and standards, including:
- The Environmental

- The Environmental
Pollution Control (Air impurities) Regulations 2000
- The Environmental
Pollution Control (Boundary Noise Limits for factory premises)
Regulations 1999
- The Environmental
Pollution Control (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 1999

Chemical
and Hazardous Material:

Seek
Esco Approval for any chemical that is to be brought into Esco,
including any chemical that is sealed-in or packaged as part
of a piece of equipment.

Provide
other chemical information and submit a copy of the Material
Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) to the Esco sponsor who will initiate
the approval request

Label
all chemical containers appropriately
-
Not
to discard waste that is generated, indiscrimately in Esco
-
Clarify
with the Esco sponsor if other chemical or hazardous material
is present in the vicinity of the work area
-
Set
up proper warning signs/safety barricades, make available emergency
response resources at the work area where hazardous material
is to be used or handled
Noise:
- Ensure
that any activitiy to be conducted in Esco site shall not
contribute to cause the boundary noise level ot exceed the
stiuplated boundary
noise limit
